why you should not visit Scotland
Why you should NOT visit Scotland!

If you are thinking about visiting Scotland, be prepared for a rather boring experience.

Scotland can be pretty remote and dull, who could enjoy all this empty space?

There is not very much happening here either, just an abyss of silence.

The weather is terrible too, who would want to brace for such weather voluntarily.

Scotland can be rather bland, just look at this faded Sunrise during our Scottish Roadtrip.

The Sunsets in Scotland are not much better either.

And once the Sun does go down, there is absolutely nothing to see.

Yes, rather uninspiring, best just to get an early night.

Don’t bother looking for wildlife either, you will have a hard time finding any!

It is pretty rare to just stumble across roaming animals.

Generally Scotland is empty of any wildlife, so not recommended for anyone looking to spot rare seabirds like Puffins or Gannets.

Dolphins? Very much doubt it.

There are also hardly any outdoor activities to do.

No, nothing to do outside at all here in Scotland.

Maybe you could go for a little stroll, but don’t expect to see much.

Certainly no kind of walks or hikes that could pose a real challenge.

There is not even any organised events that you could visit during your roadtrip.

The evenings can be long and boring with very little to do.

And some places you don’t even get mobile phone signal, so what else could possibly stave your boredom?

Award winning whisky? You would be lucky to find any here in Scotland.

Sure there are a couple of Castles dotted around, but nothing to write home about.

Another dreary old Castle….

The roads can be really busy too, and not much scenery to look at while you wait in all the busy traffic.

If you do ever manage to find a parking space, don’t expect to be near anything of real interest.

Sometimes you may want to just find a quiet spot to relax in, but you may really struggle due to so many other people about…

Scotland is not blessed with any sandy beaches either.

So don’t bother packing the bucket and spade, as you won’t be building any sand castles in this bleak landscape.

There is not much to keep the kids occupied either, maybe throw some stones in a Loch?

Or take a walk down a boring old path, there is nothing about to really spark an interest for the kids here.

Sorry to disappoint you, but as you can see, there is absolutely no reason to be thinking about having a roadtrip in Scotland.

You will definitely NOT fall in love with Scotland and have the most magical roatrip ever!
