What To Bring with you on your Campervan Road Trip?

It’s important to make sure you are properly prepared for your campervan trip. Scotland can have some extreme weather and it is a well-known joke that we can often have every season in the same day therefore warm clothes are important. A Campervan Trip in Scotland is an amazing experience, we have listed some of the items that it is worth bringing along to make sure you have a campervan trip to remember!

We supply our Campervans with a good standard of basic equipment to get yourself well on your way to Camping in Scotland. This is all included in the price and comes as standard.

What is Included as Standard?

  • Driver’s Vehicle Insurance Cover, drivers insurance cover provided for those aged 21 and over.
  • Roadside Assistance, All our Campervans have Roadside Assitance and Bussiness Breakdown cover.
  • Unlimited Miles, We do not track or charge for a vehicle mileage fee, all we ask is to return Campervan with similar fuel level of departure.
  • Gas Camping Stove, with extra Gas Canisters included.
  • Cooking Equipment, Pots, Pans, Utensils.
  • Dining Equipment, Plates, Cups, Cutlery, Bottle Opener, Tin Opener.
  • Cool Box, Insulated manual Cool Box.
  • Water Container, Large water container which pumps water up to your sink. This water container is removable so easily re-filled.
  • Maps, we have a selection of maps and tourism leaflets available, they are available to help yourself to at our office.
  • Table & Chairs, Outside table and chairs. Our Campervans sleeping area also converts into an inside table and chairs.
  • Fire Extinguisher, Fire Extinguisher and Fire Blanket.
  • 12v USB Charger, this will keep your phones, cameras and any other small devices charged up whilst driving.
  • Electric Hook-up, 10 Meter electric hook-up extension lead which can be plugged in at Campsites etc for Electricity.
  • Mini Heater, Heater requires to be plugged in to electric hook-up.

What Should I bring?

 

  • Sleeping Bag, we do not provide bedding as standard, you can however add this to your reservation as an optional extra if you wish.
  • Toiletries Bag, Soap, Toothbrush, Towel etc.
  • Entertainment, bring things to keep yourself entertained, books, phone, camera.
  • Warm Clothes & Sleeping Bag, warm clothes and a good quality sleeping back is not something to skip on.
  • Walking Boot’s, Sturdy footwear for getting out and Exploring.
  • Mobile Phone, all our campervans have charging sockets for your USB phone chargers. It is strongly recommended at least one of the party has a mobile phone in case of emergency.
  • Midgie Repellent, yes midges can sometimes be a terror, the locals say a midgie in your hand is worth two up your kilt.
  • Sunblock, Summer months can be surprisingly warm for Scotland.
  • Food, Bring along some food to keep you going or plan to make a pit stop at the start of your Campervan Road Trip!
  • Debit Card / Money, Re-stock on Food, Drink and Fuel.
  • Driver’s License or Identification
