Kinloch Campsite
Location: Loch Dunvegan, Isle of Skye
Kinloch Campsite is a friendly family run campsite in an amazing setting on the shores of Loch Dunvegan. Located in the north west of the Isle of Skye, it is a beautiful campsite on the renowned Isle of Skye with both a stunning waterfront location and easy access to all the services of a traditional Highland village.
The camping site is on a former croft at the head of scenic Loch Dunvegan and is overlooked by MacLeod’s Tables, two distinctive flat topped hills that dominate the skyline.
Camping on the shore
There is camping available right on the loch shore giving our campers amazing views and making it the perfect spot from which to watch the many and varied birds that populate these tidal waters, including the occasional eagle. Seals are also regular visitors.

Dunvegan is the ideal base for camping to explore the north of Skye and is a popular diversion on the North Coast 500.
The village of Dunvegan is a five minute walk from the campsite and has a good range of shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and other services. Just on the other side of the village is the famous Dunvegan Castle and it’s magnificent gardens , seat of the Chiefs of the Clan MacLeod for over 800 years and one of Skye’s most popular attractions.
Other iconic tourist attractions in the locality are Neist Point, the Coral Beach and the Fairy Pools. The renowned Three Chimneys restaurant is also a short drive away.

Location: Fortrose, Inverness
Situated on the pebble beach overlooking the spectacular view over the Moray Firth, Fortrose Bay Campsite is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Enjoy a beach campfire and BBQ whilst watching the sun set over the distant mountains.

Fortrose Bay Campsite is a fantastic place to stop if you are doing the North Coast 500 in one of Alba Campers Campervans. The village of Fortrose is an historic seaside village, only a short walk from the campsite. The village has a supermarket, butchers, bakers, café, and restaurants. It lies 15miles North East of Inverness and is a great base to stop on your journey to explore the rest of the Highlands.
The Black Isle is the best wild dolphin viewpoint in scotland
The Black Isle, which Fortrose Bay Campsite is a part of, is a peninsula running from Beauly to Cromarty at the tip. It is flanked by the Moray and Cromarty firths. We are not certain where it gets its name from, some say it’s because the soil is so dark, others because the snow rarely settles on the Isle. Chanonry point is a large natural sand bar and lies between Fortrose and Rosemarkie village. This location near Fortrose Bay Campsite is famous for being the best place to view the UK’s most northern colony of bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat.

Alba Campers Campervans are able to be taken over to all the Scottish Islands including Orkney and Shetland. Many of our customers have done so in the past. If visiting Orkney is on your list then we would recommend booking your Ferry in advance as they can become very busy during peak times.

Orkney Caravan Park price for a Campervan is dependent on the number of adults and pitch type. For example, 2 adults in a Campervan with electricity is £24.85 during peak and £19.95 off peak. This price would be less for non-electric pitch.
